Implementation and follow-up of the HRS4R at ULPGC
I Initial phase 
- During the year 2020, the ULPGC begins to conduct an internal analysis through a detailed study that includes an analysis of possible deficiencies that the institution may have. A survey was conducted to all actors involved in the process (trainee researchers, senior researchers, administrative and service staff, etc.). On December 1, 2020, the results of the study were presented.
II Implementation phase
- On January 5, 2021, the ULPGC sent the acceptance of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers to the European Commission. This marks the beginning of the implementation phase, which we had 12 months for. On March 11, 2021, the action plan and gap analysis were sent to the European Commission.
III HRS4R award granting
- On April 12, 2021, we were accepted as an eligible institution.
- On July 14, 2021, minor changes were requested.
- On September 29, 2021, all corrected documentation was sent.
- The European Commission notified the HRs4R award grating on November 4, 2021.

IV Implementation of the action plan
- At this moment, the HRS4R Working Group continues to work on implementing the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
- On July 7, 2022, ULPGC held the first training seminar dedicated to the Working Group. The hybrid seminar (held online and in-person) titled "Implementation of the HRS4R Logo and its Benefits for the Organization" discussed the benefits of this accreditation's implementation, as well as the actions that the University is taking to meet the evaluated conditions and seek improvements in the working conditions of researchers.
- In order to disseminate and raise awareness on various aspects related to the Logo, a series of seminars are being conducted, covering topics ranging from human resources management to researcher training in areas such as research funding and transfer.
